We meet with the captain, his crew and other passengers before opening by boat. At 11 o'clock, we leave Fethiye and reach the Butterfly Valley towards noon after passing through deserted bays and noses. You will understand why you have heard the name of the Valley of the Butterflies when you see the valley that has remained intact among its huge walls, the sparkling sea and its wide beach. After a short walking break for those who want to eat, swim and go, we are heading towards Ölüdeniz, one of the indispensables of Fethiye. On the outskirts of Babadag, Oludeniz is known for its wide beaches and turquoise waters of Turkey and also the world's most popular 'paragliding' one of the destinations. Everything You Need to Know about ‘Gulets’ and ‘Blue Cruises’ in Turkey
If you’ve visited the Turkish Rivera before you’re sure to have noticed the impressive number of tourist-filled sailboats gliding over the calm Mediterranean waters. Called ‘gulet’ in Turkish, these traditionally made wooden yachts are widespread throughout Southwest Turkey and all of the Eastern Mediterranean. The name itself is a loanword from the Venetian ‘goleta’, which ultimately has its roots in Celtic language and is related to the English ‘gullet’. The definite origin of these two or three-masted vessels remains up for debate; one theory argues that this type of boat (schooner) was used as a fishing vessel or for sponge diving in the region since antiquity. While others believe they were used as freight vessels in the Black Sea or even imports from further off lands, in the 1970s, the gulet boomed alongside the new influx of tourists to the region. Traditionally and still to this day built predominately in Bodrum and Marmaris, these modern day tourist gulets sail all along the length of the Turkish Rivera and beyond, catering to tourists and sailing enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.
The longer of the sailing trips aboard these boats are known by the term ‘Blue Cruises’ or ‘Blue Voyages’. The term originated in Turkish literature and was featured in and as the title of multiple books of popular Turkish authors in the early to mid-20th century. Today, these week-long cruises allow holiday-goers the chance to experience the beauty of the region of Turkey known as the Turquoise Coast which stretches along over 1000 kilometers of winding coastline of the southwest provinces of Mugla and Antalya. Known for its warm sea and climate, backdrop of scenic mountains, and gorgeous secluded beaches, Turkey’s Turquoise Coast attracts visitors looking to experience not only the beautiful pine forests, rocky cliffs, and crystal clear coves, but all of the ancient ruins and history the region has in store. With destinations including the renowned fishing village turned holiday destination of Bodrum, to the internationally known coastal town of Fethiye, to the sunken city of Kekova and quaint, nearby town of Kas, all the way to beautiful beaches of Antalya’s Olympos and Cirali, Blue Voyages allow vacationers to experience all that the Turkish Rivera has to offer.

While the smell of the sea and the morning breeze leak into our cabin, we go to the Aquarium Bay with a short journey. After having our breakfast, which has a lot to do with happiness, we will have a break to enjoy the sheep. You will have to jump into the sea and put on snorkels to understand why they call it an aquarium! We pass the seven noses of the most untouched bays of the Lycian coast and reach Kaş with a long journey. After lunch on the boat, we give free time to explore Kaş. With its narrow streets where colors are not missing, bougainvillea-covered historical houses, countless beaches around and its friendly atmosphere, we can say that Kas is the most special town of the Mediterranean coast. According to your wishes, we will spend the night in Kaş or one of the wonderful bays around.
We turn our route to Kekova to see the historical ruins, one of the indispensable parts of the Lycian coast. After the earthquake in the 2nd century AD, a part of the city was flooded. As your boat passes slowly from a close distance, photographing the staircases of Kekova island, the remaining doors, houses, port ruins and the walls visible under water! Our next stop; Kaleköy. The village, which is fully protected only by foot or boat, is one of the rare settlements where history and life are intertwined. 2500 years old ruins spread across the sea, between the slopes and the houses, a medieval castle with a 360-degree view, and cute stone houses all of them ... There is also a bar famous for its parties right near the bay where water sports are performed during the day!
On the last day of the tour, we lower our tempo and enjoy the sun and the breeze from the sea! After breakfast, we go to a nearby bay for our last swimming break! We leave the Mediterranean with all its blues and end our tour at Demre Çayağzı around 11 o'clock. Our last service during the tour is transfer to Olimpos or Demre Bus Terminal.

What you need to know before the tour

• Please report any special nutritional issues, such as vegetarian, gluten allergy, before the tour.
The captain has the authority to make changes to the route and tour programs for a safe cruise when he deems it necessary.
